Editorial Policy

Effective: [EFFECTIVE DATE TO REPLACE]

Accuracy and sourcing

  • Every article is based on identifiable, real sources, and lists them with links at the end of the article.
  • We prefer primary sources: official statements, documents, data releases, court records and reputable news organisations.
  • We never invent quotes, statistics, people or events.
  • Claims that are disputed or unconfirmed are clearly described as such.

Human review

Every article is reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication. Tools, including software and AI tools, may assist with drafting or research, but a person is responsible for checking each story against its sources before it is published.

Independence

Our coverage is not paid for. If we ever publish sponsored content or use affiliate links, they will be clearly labelled. We do not currently run advertising or affiliate links.

Images

We only use images we have the right to use, and we credit them. We do not use generated images to depict real events, and we do not caption an image as showing an event unless it does.

Bylines

Articles are published under the RealTimeNews24 byline unless a named author is credited.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly and transparently. See our Corrections policy.
